Dimensions Carnival Project 2020

Dimensions Entertainment gained funding by the Heritage Fund and the Community Fund to provide Carnival funded activities. The workshops started in November, which had a number of returning and new members to the team, we also have new professional Choreographers to enhance the project.

The project aimed to build a professional dance team who trained and participated in activities for a number of months in order to perform at carnival shows and events to promote carnival arts and dance and keep the traditions of the carnival industry and provide a future for the carnival through new and young members learning skills and heritage.

We were successful in this project even through the wave of COVID lockdowns by continuing to complete the project outside where possible and also online and were able to do a number of outdoor events for Haringey Council and online event virtual events and workshops, including Hackney, Barking and Leicester Carnival.
